The RPS 250 series from Vishay are thick film technology power resistors. These power resistors designed to be mounted onto a heatsink, exhibit remarkable characteristics. Developed for specific applications such as railroad electrical traction, these series can bear short overloads as high as fifteen times the nominal power.
