ST890BDR is a 1.2A current limited high-side power switch with thermal shutdown. The ST890 device is a low-voltage, P-channel MOSFET power switch intended for high-side load switching applications. The internal current limiting circuitry protects the input supply against overload. The thermal overload protection limits power dissipation and junction temperatures. The maximum current limit is 1.2A. The current limit through the switch is programmed with a resistor from SET to ground. Typical applications are PCMCIA slots, access bus slots, portable equipment.
- 2.7 to 5.5V input range
- Low quiescent current, thermal shutdown
- Active-low FAULT indicator output
- 90mohm (typical) ON resistance (VI = 3V)
- Operating free-air temperature range from -40 to 85°C
- ON quiescent supply current is 13µA (VI = 5V, ON = GND, IO = 0)
- OFF quiescent supply current is 1µA (ON = IN, VI = VOUT = 5.5V)
- ISET bias current is 0.5µA (VSET = 1.24V, IO = 0, VI = VO)
- Undervoltage lockout hysteresis is 100mV
- SO8 package, -40 to 85°C temperature range
