MC33989PEGR2 is a system basis chip with high speed CAN transceiver. It is a monolithic integrated circuit combining many functions used by microcontroller (MCU) found in automotive Engine Control Units (ECUs). The device incorporates functions such as: two voltage regulators, four high-voltage (wake-up) inputs, a 1.0Mbaud capable CAN physical interface, an SPI interface to the MCU and VSUP monitoring and fault detection circuitry. It also provides reset control in conjunction with VSUP monitoring and the watchdog timer features. Also, an Interrupt can be generated, for the MCU, based on CAN bus activity as well as mode changes.
- VDD1: total current capability 200mA, VSUP failure detection
- V2: tracking function of VDD1 regulator
- Low stand-by current consumption in stop and sleep modes
- Four external high voltage wake-up inputs associated with HS1 VBAT switch
- 150mA output current capability for HS1 VBAT switch
- CANH and CANL transient voltage (Load Dump) is 40V
- Nominal DC supply voltage range from 5.5 to 18V (-40 to 125°C, GND = 0V)
- Dropout voltage is 0.2V typ (IDD1 = 200mA, -40 to 125°C, GND = 0V)
- IDD1 output current is 285mA typ (internally limited, TA = 25°C)
- 28 SOICW package, ambient temperature range from -40 to 125°C
