The PXIe-6672 is a system timing controller module.  It can drive the PXI star trigger lines, import and export PXI backplane clocks and triggers, generate a high-resolution direct digital synthesis (DDS) clock, and generate a high-stability temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO) 10 MHz Reference Clock for instrumentation. The PXIe-6672 allows you to synchronize multiple PXI Express systems, synchronize a PXI Express system with external instruments and equipment, and increase the accuracy of instruments within a PXI Express system.
