MAX3045BESE+T is a 5V quad RS485/RS-422 transmitter designed for digital data transmission over twisted-pair balanced lines. The transmitter outputs are protected to ±10kV using the human body model. It features a hot-swap capability that eliminates false transitions on the data cable during power-up or hot insertion. It is used in applications such as telecommunications equipment, industrial motor control, transmitters for ESD-sensitive applications, hand-held equipment, industrial PLCs, and networking.
- ESD protection: ±10kV human body model, single +5V operation
- Hot-swappable for telecom applications, up to 20Mbps data rate
- ±4kV EFT fast transient burst immunity per IEC 1000-4-4
- Level 2 surge immunity per IEC 1000-4-5, unshielded cable model
- Supply current is 1mA typical at (VCC = +5V and TA = +25°C)
- Supply current in shutdown is 10µA maximum at (EN = GND, EN = VCC, TA = +25°C)
- Driver propagation delay is 0.7µs typical at (VCC = +5V and TA = +25°C)
- Driver differential output rise-time/fall-time is 0.7µs typical at (RDIFF = 54ohm, CDIFF = 50pF)
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C
- 16-pin NSOIC package
