The RPS 500 series from Vishay are thick film technology power resistors. These power resistors designed to be mounted onto a heatsink, exhibit remarkable characteristics. This range has been developed specifically for electrical traction applications.
- Resistance value range from 0.24ohm to 1Mohm, 500W power rating
- 5000V limiting element voltage, ±1%, ±2%, ±5% and ±10% tolerance
- Temperature coefficient ±150ppm/°C, ±300ppm/°C and temperature range from -55°C to 125°C
- 7KVRMS (L connections), 12KVRMS (H connections) dielectric strength MIL STD 202 (301), min, 10mA max
- Insulation resistance is <gt/> 10^6Mohm under Uins = 500VDC IEC 60115-1, <lt/> 50nH inductance
- Alumina onto base of nickel coated copper substrate
- Insulated case and resin for potting UL 94 V-0, cermet resistive element
- High overload capability up to 2 times rated power
- Low thermal radiation of the case
- High voltage, high power resistor
