HMC291SE is a general purpose broadband 2bit positive control silicon IC digital attenuator. Two bit control voltage inputs, toggled between 0V and +3V or +5V, are used to select each attenuation state at less than 25µA each. A single VDD supply voltage of +3V to +5V applied through an external 4.7Kohm resistor is required. Typical application includes cellular, PCS, ISM, MMDS, WLL handset & base station.
- Insertion loss is 0.5dB (typ, 0.7 to 1.4GHz, TA = +25°C, VDD = +3V to +5V)
- Attenuation range is 12dB (typ, 0.7 to 4.0GHz, TA = +25°C, VDD = +3V to +5V)
- Return loss (RF1 & RF2, all atten. states) is 25dB (typ, 0.7 to 1.4GHz, TA = +25°C)
- Input power for 0.1dB compression (input P0.1dB) is 28dBm (typ, 0.7 to 4.0GHz)
- Input third order intercept point (two-tone input power = 15dBm each tone) is 57dBm (typ)
- Switching characteristics is 250ns (typ, 0.7 to 4.0GHz, tRISE, tFALL (10/90% RF)
- Single positive control per bit, 0/+3V or +5V
- 4dB LSB steps to 12dB
- 26 lead SOT package, operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C
