NCP1028LEDGEVB

The NCP1028LEDGEVB is an evaluation board to evaluate NCP1028 integrated fixed frequency current mode controller with a 5.8ohm, 700V MOSFET. The NCP1028 contains soft start, frequency jittering, skip cycle etc to build a rugged and low cost power supply. The NCP1028LEDGEVB is a universal input ( 90vac to 265Vac) LED driver designed for constant current applications. This evaluation board has been configured in an isolated flyback topology with secondary side constant current control and it has been preconfigured to source a nominal current of 720mA. The design has open circuit output protection which clamps the output to voltage of 18V. In a universal input flyback configuration, the NCP1028 is limited to approximately 15W. The current and open circuit voltage can be changed by simply changing out a resistor zener combination.
