The HOA699X series Optoschmitt Sensor with an infrared emitter facing an optoschmitt detector. The detector switching takes place whenever an opaque object passes through the slot between emitter and detector. Photodetector consists of a photodiode, amplifier, voltage regulator, Schmitt trigger and various output configurations. The series employs opaque polysulfone housing with aperture openings for use in potential applications where maximum rejection of ambient light is important and in situations in which maximum position resolution is desired. Potential applications include presence sensing, motion sensing, position encoding, limit sensing, movement detection and counting.
