Linearity and Common Mode Pressure Fluctuation Love these sensors, both 24 and 26 series. I use water or ethylene glycol in both ports. They give straight-line calibrations with r-squared of 0.9999 new and 0.999999 after a year. (The square fluorosilicon seal relaxes.) A calibration parabolic in both temperature and pressure with a PT term give at least two more 9's and 0.01% accuracy. Kind of amazing in a $20 sensor. With low-range silicon-strain-gage pressure sensors, the user needs to be aware that a pressure change common to both ports (such as barometric) causes a change in output voltage, owing to a volumetric strain on the sensor. Applying a full-scale-pressure input to both ports will cause an output change of 0.5 to 1% of full scale. Trivial in 30-PSI sensors; not trivial in 0.5-PSI sensors. December 8, 2012
