Hi, I have XL-STAR board. can I have sample code for displaying real time accelerometer values from XL-STAR baord on my PC monitor? I am new in codeworrior. Is there simple commend and code to do this in code worrior?
Or is there even some simple graphical program available from Freescale, so I can display in PC wiht the software...so I may try to extract the data in files which I can open in excel later? Any comment and advcie will be appreicated.

A: 
The sample code is provided with the kit but this is a generic one which is to demonstrate the functionality of the sensor. To fetch the data, end user has to write a code to read the controller register bank and extract the data as per your requirement. We don't have any sample code for this functionality.

Description:
The STAR-XL-S08 is a Co-branded, multifunction development platform that illustrates the capabilities of the 8bit MM128 MCU and MMA8541 accelerometer in various modes of operation, displaying the outputs via an array of LEDs. The system includes a debugger for development in a CW profession IDE and is supplied with complete source code. The XL_STAR is a double-sided board, It may be simplest to imagine that the two sides are separate circuit boards that are stuck together. As a developer you will mainly be concerned with the top side. On the top side of the board there is the main Freescale's microcontroller (MCU) MC9S08MM128. This is a 8bit MCU based on the HCS08-family architecture. There is a set of 48 orange LEDs arranged in an 8-pointed star with the accelerometer at its centre. The LEDs are used by the demo program to indicate information such as how the board is tilted.
