Product Overview

Work smarter and faster with the Fluke 754 Documenting Process Calibrator. The 754 does the work of several tools - sourcing, simulating and measuring pressure, temperature, and electrical signals in one rugged, hand-held device. For documentation, the 754 automates calibration procedures and captures your data. It is also HART communication enabled to deliver an integrated communicating calibrator. This powerful multifunction documenting calibrator is ideal for calibrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting HART and other instrumentation.
  • Measure volts, mA, RTDs, thermocouples, frequency, and ohms to test sensors, transmitters and other instruments
  • Source/simulate volts, mA, thermocouples, RTDs, frequency, ohms, and pressure to calibrate transmitters
  • Power transmitters during test using loop supply with simultaneous mA measurement
  • Measure/source pressure using any of 50 Fluke 750Pxx Pressure Modules
  • Create and run automated as-found/as-left procedures to satisfy quality programs or regulations Record and document results
  • Holds up to a full week of downloaded procedures and calibration results
  • Features autostep, custom units, user entered values during test, one-point and two-point switch testing, square root DP flow testing etc.
  • Requires no external box or second tool for everyday HART calibration and maintenance
  • Supports popular models of HART transmitters, with powerful device-specific command support for popular HART devices
  • Read and write HART configuration functions to make field adjustments to PV range points, damping, and other top-level configuration settings
  • Rechargeable Li-Ion battery for 10 hour uninterrupted use, also includes gas gauge
  • Handling of fast pulsed RTD transmitters and PLCs, with pulses as short as 1 ms
  • Delivered with DPC/Track Sample software
  • Compatible with many Asset Management software packages

FLUKE - FLUKE-754 - DOCUMENTING PROCESS CALIBRATOR w/ HART 4 5 10 10
Won't provide bias power for a 24Vdc, three-wire 4-20mA sensor For $7000, I expected the world. I got all one could ask for... but for the little island I really needed. I wanted this unit to provide about 35mA of power to the +24V bias of my three-wire sensor and measure the 4-20mA output. No dice. It will do 2-wire loop power all day, alas, not three-wire. So, I'm stuck carrying around a 24V supply to power my sensor while the 754 meter reads the 4-20. I should have just bought a Hart Communicator for half the price and got a Fluke 789 for $900. The Fluke tech support said "This is the first time anybody asked for this feature." Really? September 10, 2013
Very limited HART functionality. Can't update or load "HART Device Descriptors" which means very limited HART functionality. Do not make the mistake of thinking that you can substitute the Fluke 754 for a HART communicator. For many devices, you will need to bring the calibrator AND a real HART communicator to calibrate the instrument. There are modern times and I feel that Fluke really dropped the ball here. Good but the HART needs work I convinced my boss to buy this over an emmerson communicator. Come to find out it does not support all specific device DD's. The first instrument I used it on it communicated HART fine but could not display all the DD parameters. I called support and was told that when a firmware upgrade came out it might support more HART DD's but they didn't know if/when this would happen. Had to use an Emmerson communicator after all. As far as a calibrator its great. The pressure modules and hand pump are great. The DPCTrack2 software is good to keep track of everything. Dont plan on replacing a communicator with this one instrument though. December 13, 2012
This does everything the 744 did; BETTER and LONGER! For well over a dozen years I have used the 744 and when I heard news about the impending launch of the 754 I was salivating like Pavlov's Dogs in anticipation! We have hundreds of 744s throughout all of our divisions and we are already over a dozen 754s. The advances you have made in the legibility of the display out in varying light conditions and the battery life are worth the cost of admission alone. You have gone well beyond there with increased precision and reliability, and now the HART works with all the Rosemount Transmitters; I'd say you not only hit a homer, but hit a grand slam!
