Product Overview

The HCPL-3120-500E is a 2A output current IGBT Gate Drive Optocoupler contains a GaAsP LED. The LED is optically coupled to an integrated circuit with a power output stage. It is ideally suited for driving power IGBTs and MOSFETs used in motor control inverted applications. The high operating voltage range of the output stage provides the drive voltages required by gate controlled devices. This series can be used to drive a discrete power stage which drives the IGBT gate.
  • Eliminates need for negative gate drive
  • Undervoltage lock-out protection (UVLO) with hysteresis
  • 500ns Maximum switching speeds
  • -40 to 100°C Industrial temperature range
