Product Overview
The 2228 (1"X10FT) is a black premium grade Rubber Mastic Tape consists of ethylene propylene rubber (EPR) backing coated with a strong and temperature-stable mastic adhesive. The Scotch® 80610737662 rubber mastic tape is a conformable self-fusing rubber electrical insulating and sealing tape. The tape is to insulate, pad and seal bus bar and splice connections.
- 1000% Elongation
- 100% Elongation at break
- Up to 90°C operating temperature
- Provides protection against UV rays with its ethylene propylene rubber backing
- Primary electrical insulation for cable and wire connections and vibration padding for motor leads rated up to 1000 volts
- Thick construction allows quick application build–up and padding over irregular connections
- Withstands temperatures up to 194 °F (90 °C)
