The Z0853606VSG is a Counter/Timer and Parallel I/O Unit is general-purpose peripheral circuit that satisfy most counter/timer and parallel I/O needs encountered in system design and is therefore helpful in real-time situations and for interrupt control. The Z8036 Z-CIO is designed for systems using the Z-BUS or any other multiplexed address/data bus.
- 2 Independent 8-bit, double-buffered and bi-directional I/O ports
- 4 Handshake modes and including 3-wire
- Request/wait signal for high-speed data transfer
- Flexible pattern-recognition logic, programmable as a 16-vector interrupt collector
- 3 Independent 16-bit counters/timers
- All registers are read/write
