Product Overview
ST26C31BTR is a CMOS quad 3-state differential line driver. This quad differential line driver is designed for digital data transmission over balanced lines and meets all the requirements of EIA standard RS-422 while retaining the low power characteristics of CMOS. It accepts TTL or CMOS input levels and translates these to RS-422 output levels. This part uses special output circuitry common to all four drivers. All outputs are protected against damage due to electrostatic discharge by diode to VCC and ground.
- TTL input compatible, output will not load line when VCC = 0V
- Meets the requirements of EIA standard RS-422, operation from single 5V supply
- 3-state outputs for connection to system buses, low quiescent current
- Supply voltage range from 4.5V to 5.5V
- Input current is ±1µA maximum at (VIN = VCC, GND, VIH or VIL)
- Quiescent supply current is 200µA typical at (IOUT = 0µA, VIN = VCC or GND)
- 3-state output leakage current is ±5µA maximum at (VCC = 5V ±10%)
- Propagation delay input to output is 6ns typical at (VCC = 5V ±10%, tr = tf ≤ 6ns)
- Input capacitance is 6pF typical at (VCC = 5V ±10%, tr = tf ≤ 6ns)
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C, TSSOP16 package
