Product Overview
ST232ACDR is a 2-driver, 2-receiver device following EIA/TIA-232 and V.28 communication standards. It is particularly suitable for applications where ±12V is not available. The ST232AC uses a single 5V power supply and only four external capacitors (0.1µF). Typical applications include portable computers, low-power modems, interfaces translation, battery-powered RS-232 networks.
- Supply voltage range from 4.5 to 5.5V
- VCC power supply current is 1.5mA typical at (No load, TA = 25°C)
- Output voltage swing is ±9V typical at (All transmitter outputs are loaded with 3Kohm to GND)
- Transition slew rate is 12V/µs typical at (TA = 25°C, VCC = 5V, RL = 3 to 7Kohm, CL = 50 to 2500pF)
- Propagation delay time is 0.1µs typical at (CL = 150pF)
- Receiver input voltage operating range is 30V maximum
- Data rate is 400kbits/s typical at (TA = 25°C)
- Transmitter output resistance is 300 ohm minimum at (VCC = V+ = V- = 0V VOUT = ±2V)
- Operating temperature range from 0°C to 70°C
- SO-16 package
