EVALST7538DUAL

EVALST7538DUAL board integrates the ST7538 power line transceiver along with the power supply section, the signal coupling interface section, the crystal oscillator and device protections. The ST7538Q is a half duplex synchronous/asynchronous FSK modem designed for power line communication network applications. It operates from a single supply voltage and integrates a line driver and two linear regulators for 5V and 3.3V. The device operation is controlled by means of an internal register, programmable through the synchronous serial interface. The coupling interface section has been realized for communication on CENELEC A band used mainly for AMR applications, with the chance of programmable switching between 72KHz and 86KHz communication channels. This half duplex dual channel communication feature has been implemented through optimised receiving and transmitting filters on the board. And it must be connected to a PC through the EVALCOMMBOARD general purpose board.
