±15KV ESD protected, +3V to +5.5V, 1µA, 1Mbps, RS232 transceiver with enhanced automatic power down. It is suitable for use in any system requiring RS232 communication ports like battery powered, hand-held and portable equipment, laptop computers, notebooks, palmtops, cellular/mobile phones, digital cameras, modems, printers and other peripherals.
- ESD protection for RS232 I/O pins to ±15KV (IEC61000)
- Manual and enhanced automatic power down features
- Drop in replacements for MAX3227E
- RS232 compatible with VCC = 2.7V
- Meets EIA/TIA-232 and V.28/V.24 specifications at 3V
- Latch-up free
- On-chip voltage converters require only four external 0.1µF capacitors at VCC = 3.3V
- Ready to Transmit indicator output
- Receiver hysteresis for improved noise immunity
- 1Mbps ensured minimum data rate, 24V/µs ensured minimum slew rate
