Molex/Woodhead's ArcArrest 30A Switch-Rated Connector System incorporates many options and components into a smooth, contoured design and delivers the simplest and fastest way to de-energize industrial machines and equipment and perform Lockout/Tagout operations. The parts are inclusive of finger drawplates and plug caps as standard. A smooth housing design that can withstand washdown makes this an ideal solution for food processing applications. Spring-loaded silver-alloy contacts provide the connector with switching capabilities, similar to the design of a circuit breaker or contactor. The connector remains engaged during operation to protect users from arc flash and contact with live electrical components. Rotation of the plug is required after the system is de-energized which closes a dead-front shutter on the receptacle. All critical components arem heavily glass-reinforced with 100% Valox materials eliminating the need of nylon components which would be prone to moisture absorption and dimensional instability.
