Product Information
Product Overview
MCP9700BT-E/LTVAO is a low power linear active thermistor IC in 5 pin SC70 package. It comprises of analog temperature sensors that convert temperature to analog voltage. This low cost sensor features an accuracy of ±1°C from 0°C to 70°C while consuming typical 6μA of operating current. The MCP9700B does not require an additional signal conditioning circuit. The biasing circuit development overhead for thermistor solutions can be avoided by implementing this low cost device. The voltage output pin (VOUT) can be directly connected to ADC input of microcontroller. The MCP9700B provides low cost solution for applications that require measurement of relative change of temperature. It is immune to effects of parasitic capacitance and can drive large capacitive loads. This provides printed circuit board (PCB) layout design flexibility by enabling the device to be remotely located from the microcontroller.
