Product Overview
SMCJ12CA is a SMCJ series, bi-directional, TVS diode. It is designed specifically to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events. It is ideal for the protection of I/O interfaces, VCC bus and other vulnerable circuits used in telecom, computer, industrial and consumer electronics applications.
- Low dynamic resistance, glass passivated chip junction
- For surface mounted applications to optimize board space
- Typical failure mode is short from over-specified voltage or current
- IEC 61000-4-2 ESD 30kV(air), 30kV (contact)
- Plastic package is flammability rated V-0 per Underwriters Laboratories
- Recognized to UL 497B as an isolated loop circuit protector
- 12V reverse standoff voltage (TA=25°C)
- 14.70V max breakdown voltage, 1mA test current (TA=25°C)
- 19.9V maximum clamping voltage (TA=25°C)
- 75.4A max peak pulse current, 1µA max reverse leakage current (TA=25°C)
