Product Overview
The SMBJ7.0A from Littelfuse is a 600W, unidirectional transient voltage suppression diode in DO-214AA package. It features excellent clamping capability, low incremental surge resistance, low profile package, built-in strain relief and fast response time. The SMBJ is designed specifically to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events. It is ideal for the protection of I/O Interfaces, VCC bus and other vulnerable circuits.
- Reverse stand off voltage VR is 7V
- Breakdown voltage VBR is 7.78V minimum and 8.6V maximum at 10mA
- Maximum reverse leakage is 200µA
- Maximum clamping voltage VC is 12V
- Maximum peak pulse current is 50A
- Power dissipation on infinite heat sink at TL=50°C is 5W
- Peak forward surge current IFSM is 100A
- Maximum instantaneous forward voltage is 5V
- Operating temperature range from -65°C to +175°C, IEC-61000-4-2 ESD 30KV (air), 30KV (contact)
- ESD protection of data lines with IEC 61000-4-2 and EFT protection with IEC 61000-4-4 standard
