HGLND-CAT5EJW is a DIN mountable 3-stage lightning protector provides superior lightning and surge protection for indoor and outdoor 10/100 Base-T Ethernet networks. Also compatible with PoE devices, this unit provides protection to both Ethernet data pairs as well as the PoE DC power feed. The HGLND-CAT5EJW is compatible with wireless access points, access servers and routers, with or without PoE functionality. The unit features a low capacitance diode array that can withstand large surge currents. The design utilizes a thyristor diode which switches to a low impedance state once triggered. This offers superior power handling capability compared to TVS or Zener diode based designs. The limits are +/- 58V on the four cable pairs. Application includes IP, network or web cameras, 10/100 Base-T networks, VoIP telephone, wireless access points, servers and routers.
