The 8017 series highly reliable I/O rectangular type Rack and Panel Connector using VARICON hermaphroditic contacts (developed by Kyocera connector products) in both plug and receptacle types. The VARICON contacts feature a cross-shaped, four-face contact structure using a pair of balanced spring beams, thereby producing smooth multipoint contacts and wide wiping surfaces. Equipped with an actuating screw mechanism which ensures tight mating by turns of screws, as well as guide pins and sockets to provide orientation after fitting and prevent incorrect mating. It offered in the crimp, tab soldering and wire wrapping types. In addition, connectors conforming to MIL are available.
