Product Overview
789917-01 is a NI Ettus USRP X420 high-performance software defined radio for advanced wireless research, radar prototyping, and satellite communications. It offers 2 transmit and 2 receive channels with frequency coverage from 10MHz to 20GHz and up to 1GHz instantaneous bandwidth. This extended frequency range enables research in the FR3 band for 6G as well as covering important bands for non-terrestrial networks (NTN) and satellite communications. The wide bandwidth allows for a high resolution in localization scenarios for applications like integrated sensing and communications (ISAC). Each channel supports LO sharing, making the X420 an ideal platform for building multi-channel phase coherent systems.
- Multi-channel phase coherency with independent LO sharing and external RX/TX LO inputs
- AMD Zynq UltraScale+ RFSoC ZU28DR-2 with 12-bit ADCs and 14-bit DACs
- Delivers < -35dB 5G NR RX EVM performance at 7GHz
- Supports IQ sample clock rates up to 1.25GS/s with onboard SD-FEC, DDC, and DUC
- Integrated quad-core ARM cortex-A53 (1.2 GHz) and dual-core cortex-A5 (500 MHz) processors
- High-speed connectivity via dual QSFP28 ports and PCIe Gen3 x8 iPass+ zHD interfaces
- Precision synchronization with 10 MHz reference, PPS input, GPSDO, and trigger I/O
- Dual FPGA-programmable HDMI GPIO interfaces supporting 24 lanes and SPI protocol
- USB Type-C host, console, and JTAG ports with integrated watchdog time
- Supports OpenEmbedded Linux, UHD API, RFNoC framework, GNU radio, AMD Vivado 2021.1 dev tools
