What is a snap-in aluminium electrolytic capacitor?
Snap-in aluminium electrolytic capacitors feature two pin or three pin snap-in terminals making them easy to mount on the application PCB.
Snap-in capacitors are used in a wide variety of applications because of the many advantages they provide. The aluminium case is fully insulated. The marking of the polarity makes installation easy. The safety vent on the base provides overload protection. Snap-in solder pins hold this component in place on the PC-board. They are made in many different case sizes. They have a high ripple current capability.

These capacitors are large size capacitors with specially designed self-standing terminals and can be directly soldered to printed circuit boards without holders.
