Product Overview

The MAX13050ASA+ is an industry standard high speed CAN transceiver with ±80V fault protection in 8 pin NSOIC package. This CAN transceiver provides a link between the CAN protocol controller and the physical wires of the bus lines in a CAN. The CAN transceiver provides a dominant timeout function that prevents erroneous CAN controller from clamping the bus to a dominant level if the transmitter input is held lower for greater than 1ms. The CAN transceiver have an input common mode range greater than ±12V, exceeding the ISO11898 specification of -2V to +7V and feature ±8KV ESD protection making device ideal for harsh industrial environments. It provides a SPLIT pin used to stabilize the recessive common-mode voltage. The device is used for industrial network applications where overvoltage protection is required. It can be used for DeviceNet applications requiring data rates up to 1Mbps.

  • Supply voltage range is 4.75V to 5.25V
  • Operating temperature range from -40°C to 125°C
  • Low current standby mode
  • Short-circuit protection
  • Thermal shutdown
  • Current limiting
