3M™ link connector, 381 series featuring IDC termination offer a time-saving, reliable and field-installable wiring solution. It is suitable for wiring applications using 3-4 wires 22 to 16AWG and requiring 16V, 6.0A max. Common applications are branching and splicing into the existing network.
- Single-action IDC termination connector for T-branching and splicing of sensor and field networks
- Easy, labour saving and reliable IDC termination
- Easy field termination with No special wire preparation – No stripping, tinning or special tooling
- Compatible with conductor sizes 18 to 22AWG
- Can terminate with a common pair of pliers
- Semi-transparent color-coded covers for wire inspection and wire retention
- Hermaphroditic four-point contact mating structures
- T-tap termination enable mid-cable terminations without special preparation/handling of wires
- 5 Amp maximum current carrying capability per contact
- Latching mechanism maintains a reliable interconnection in demanding field applications
