Product Information
Product Overview
EVAL6208N is a L6208 DMOS driver for bipolar stepper motor in PowerDip package evaluation board. It is a DMOS fully integrated stepper motor driver with non dissipative overcurrent protection, realised in multiPower BCD technology, which combines isolated DMOS power transistors with CMOS and bipolar circuits on the same chip. The device includes all the circuitry needed to drive a two phase bipolar stepper motor. Screw connectors provide connection to motor supply rail and 5V reference for the logic inputs, as well as the four outputs to motor windings. EVAL6208N can be hooked up to practiSPIN interface board through a 34 pin connector. It is also possible to run board in stand alone mode using four switches to set the direction of the rotation, the stepping sequence and the current decay style, while four potentiometers set the L6208 reference voltage and off time for the PWM current control, external reference voltages can be provided by a PWM output of a microcontroller.
- Operating supply voltage from 8V to 52V
- 5.6A output peak current(2.8A RMS), Low Rds(on) output 0.3ohm typ
- Operating frequency up to 100KHz
- Non dissipative overcurrent protection
- Dual independent constant toff PWM current controllers
- Fast/slow decay mode selection
