CAT-HT-179-2024-11

The CAT-HT-179-2024-11 is a straight action Hand Tool for use with IPD1 series CC79L 24 to 20AWG terminals. It features fixed die (crimper), movable die (anvil), locator/insulation stop and ratchet. The insulation adjustment knob is used to regulate the crimp height of the contact insulation barrel during the crimping operation. The locator/insulation stop positions the contact and limits the insertion distance of the stripped wire into the contact. In use, the locator/insulation stop rests in the locator slot of the contact. The ratchet assures full crimping of the contact. Once engaged, the ratchet will not release until the dies have been fully closed.

Warnings

Do not cut or nick the wire strands during wire stripping. Damaged contacts should not be used. If a damaged contact is evident, it should be cut from the wire and replaced with a new one.
