HM8143.02

The HM8143.02 from Rohde & Schwarz is an arbitrary power supply. This linear regulated, two quadrant power supply (current source and sink) features an electronic fuse (mains fuses 115VAC 2x 6A, slow blow (5mm x 20mm) and 230VAC 2x 3.15A, slow blow (5mm x 20mm)) in order to provide a better protection than current limiting. The HM8143 is not protected against reverse polarity. It offers possibility to turn ON/OFF the button beep. This programmable power supply features various different operating modes and it is equipped with a variety of safety features to prevent damage being caused to instrument by short circuits or overheating. The HM8143 can also be made to generate freely programmable waveforms within the limit values set (arbitrary mode). It comes with an USB/RS-232 interface, as an option the IEEE-488 GPIB interface is available. The power supply also features sense connectors for line loss compensation (30V channels).

Warnings

Do not switch off the instrument, while output is still activated (LED of OUTPUT button highlighted). It may destroy device under test (DUT).

Notes

To disconnect from the mains, the low heat device socket on the back panel has to be unplugged.
