40,000 stocked compliant products featured plus step-by-step compliance guide

The front section of the catalog includes a detailed guide to help engineers in the US, Canada and Mexico to comply with RoHS, which takes effect July 1, 2006.
The 40,000 in-stock products in the catalog are divided into six sections: semiconductors, passive components, interconnect/wire & cable, electromechanical/power/ circuit protection, optoelectronics and soldering. Hundreds of top manufacturers are represented including Texas Instruments, On Semi, Maxim/Dallas, IR, National, Intersil, AMD, Fairchild, NXP, Broadcom, Kester, Littelfuse, Honeywell, Tyco, Molex and Amphenol.
Newark has issued new part numbers for all its compliant stock, even if the manufacturers have not done so. The distributor believes this is the only way to ensure that compliant and non-compliant parts can be identified easily, and properly segregated within its warehouse and their customers' stockrooms.
