118-1-A-5/2D is a 118 series low level high coil resistance reed relay. This relay features plastic package with internal mu-metal magnetic screen. The mu-metal has the advantage of high permeability and low magnetic remanence and eliminates problems that occur due to magnetic interaction. Relay of this size without magnetic screening would be totally unsuitable where dense packing is required. It is very sensitive and ideal for portable equipment or other applications where low power consumption is required. Typical applications include test & measurement, semiconductor testing, thermocouple switching, medical and portable devices.
