EX845

The EX845 from Extech Instruments is a 1000A AC/DC true RMS clamp meter with built-in IR thermometer and Bluetooth MeterLink. It is a CAT IV true RMS AC/DC clamp meter/multimeter with built-in IR thermometer and wireless capability. MeterLink Bluetooth transmitter wirelessly transmits voltage and current readings to selected FLIR thermal imaging IR cameras to incorporate meter readings with thermal images. MeterLink eliminates the disadvantages of manual data collection by allowing the thermographer to quickly take a current reading on an electrical target and associate those readings with the corresponding targets stored in an infrared image. The combination of a clamp meter and an IR camera is used for electrical power measurement, analysis and documentation. The EX845 measurement functions include AC/DC voltage, AC/DC current, resistance, capacitance, frequency, diode test, continuity, inrush, type K thermocouple thermometer plus non contact IR temperature.

Warnings

Use great care when making measurements if the voltages are greater than 25VAC rms or 35VDC. These voltages are considered a shock hazard.

Notes

Do not apply voltage to meter when resistance function is selected. Set the function switch OFF when the meter is not in use.
