The 3610VL series DC Axial Fan is the most commonly used variety of cooling fan. Also called box fan on occasion, they move air on a straight axis through the fan. This kind of fan functions best under a low pressure or low system impedance environment. With reduced fan speed the noise produced by an axial fan can be kept at a minimum. Because of this low level of audible noise, this kind of fan is extensively used in PCs, for both CPU and power supply cooling. The DC Axial fans blow air along the axis of the fan or parallel to the track of the blade axis. The amount of airflow that a fan generates is measured in cubic feet per minute (CFM) and the rotational speed in revolutions per minute (RPM). DC axial fans are found in a variety of applications, including computing, servers, telecommunication cabinets and any type of equipment where the need for thermal control is necessary for the improved reliability and life extension of the components that are included in the system.
