MAX3292ESD+T

MAX3292ESD+T is a high-speed RS-485/RS-422 transceiver featuring driver preemphasis circuitry, which extends the distance and increases the data rate of reliable communication by reducing intersymbol interference (ISI) caused by long cables. It is a full-duplex device that operate from a single +5V supply and offer a low-current shutdown mode that reduces supply current to 100nA. This features driver output short-circuit current limiting and a fail-safe receiver input that guarantees a logic-high output if the input is open circuit. Typical applications are long-distance, high-speed RS-485/RS-422 communications, telecommunications, industrial-control local area networks.

• Maximum data rate is 10Mbps minimum at VCC = +5V ±5%, RPSET = 0, VCC = VCCD, TA = +25°C
• Shutdown supply current is 0.1µA typ at active-low RE = VCC, DE = GND, VY = VZ = 0 to VCC/floating
• Common-mode input voltage range from -7V to +12V
• Driver propagation delay (tDPLH) is 41ns typ at RDIFF = 54ohm, CL1 = CL2 = 50pF
• 14-pin SO package
• Temperature rating range from -40°C to +85°C
