Product Overview
AD5687R is a dual, low-power, 12bit nanoDAC+ with 2ppm/°C reference and SPI interface. The buffered voltage output digital-to-analog converter operates from a single 2.7V to 5.5V supply, are guaranteed monotonic by design, and exhibits less than 0.1% FSR gain error and 1.5mV offset error performance. It also incorporates a power-on reset circuit and an RSTSEL pin that ensures that the DAC outputs power up to zero scale or midscale and remains there until a valid write takes place. Each part contains a per-channel power-down feature that reduces the current consumption of the device to 4μA at 3V while in power-down mode. Typical applications are optical transceivers, base station power amplifiers, process control (PLC I/O cards), industrial automation, data acquisition systems.
- High drive capability is 20mA, 0.5V from supply rails
- User-selectable gain of 1 or 2 (GAIN pin), reset to zero scale or midscale (RSTSEL pin)
- 1.8V logic compatibility, 50MHz SPI with readback or daisy chain
- Low glitch is 0.5nV-sec, low power is 3.3mW at 3V
- Relative accuracy is ±0.12LSB typ (VDD=2.7V to 5.5V; 1.62V ≤ VLOGIC ≤ 5.5V)
- Differential nonlinearity is ±1LSB maximum (guaranteed monotonic by design)
- Offset error drift is ±1µV/°C typ (VDD=2.7V to 5.5V; 1.62V ≤ VLOGIC ≤ 5.5V)
- DC power supply rejection ratio is 0.15mV/V typ (DAC code=midscale; VDD=5V ± 10%)
- 16-lead TSSOP package
- Temperature rating range from -40°C to +105°C
