WOLFSON AUDIO CARD

The WOLFSON AUDIO CARD is an audio card for use with Raspberry Pi. It extends and enhances the Raspberry Pi audio features beyond its native HDMI output with on-board HD audio at 24bit, 192KHz frequency. It offers Raspberry Pi users similar flexibility to PC soundcard to capture audio alongside their camera and experiment with stereo digital capture and playback. Currently the Raspberry Pi, whilst being equipped with audio capability is limited in a number of ways. The limitations are purposeful in order to keep Raspberry Pi at low price point. This audio card then offers multiple types of input sources and outputs.

• Two DMIC microphones on-board for stereo recording
• 3.5mm jack stereo line output for connection to external stereo amplifiers or powered speakers
• 3.5mm jack for stereo line input for high quality audio recording or capture
• S/PDIF input and output
• On-board power amplifier for directly driving loudspeakers
• High SNR for high quality playback and record
• Analogue line level input/output
• Develop and play online games with your friends that allow in-game audio via a gaming headset
• On-board class D power amplifier for external speakers, with connection to external power source
• Small pin header for extra functions if they are low cost and don't require any further components
