Aratas Corporation was established on July 1, 2026, through an internal spin-off within the OMRON Group and became independent from OMRON on October 1, 2026, following the completion of the acquisition by Carlyle. 

Its mission is "We harness innovative connections between people and technology to create a new tomorrow." The name “Aratas” combines the Japanese words “New” and “Tomorrow”, reflecting the Company’s aspiration to create new value and shape the future together with customers around the world.

The Aratas Group develops, manufactures, and sells electronic components, including relays, switches, connectors, and sensors, serving customers across a broad range of industries, from automotive and home appliances to industrial equipment. Net sales for fiscal year 2025 were approximately JPY 160 billion.
