Product Overview
MAX6675ISA+T is a cold-junction-compensated K-thermocouple to-digital converter. It performs cold-junction compensation and digitizes the signal from a type-K thermocouple. The data is output in a 12bit resolution, SPI-compatible, read-only format. This converter resolves temperatures to 0.25°C, allows readings as high as +1024°C, and exhibits thermocouple accuracy of 8LSBs for temperatures ranging from 0°C to +700°C. It is used in applications such as industrial, appliances, and HVAC.
- Direct digital conversion of type -K thermocouple output
- Cold-junction compensation, simple SPI-compatible serial interface
- 12-bit, 0.25°C resolution, open thermocouple detection
- Supply voltage range from 3V to 5.5V, supply current is 0.7mA typ at (VCC = +3.0V to +5.5V)
- Conversion time is 0.17s typical at (VCC = +3.0V to +5.5V, TA = -20°C to +85°C)
- Input leakage current is ±5µA maximum at (VCC = +3.0V to +5.5V, TA = -20°C to +85°C)
- Input capacitance is 5pF typical at (VCC = +3.0V to +5.5V, TA = -20°C to +85°C)
- Serial clock frequency is 4.3MHz maximum at (VCC = +3.0V to +5.5V, TA = -20°C to +85°C)
- Thermocouple conversion constant is 10.25µV/LSB typical at (VCC = +3.0V to +5.5V)
- Operating temperature range from -20°C to +85°C, 8-lead SO package
