Product Overview
LTC7124 is a dual channel, 3.5A per output, high efficiency monolithic step-down regulator capable of operating from input supplies upto 17V. The programmable switching frequency ranges from 500KHz to 4MHz with a ±25% external clock synchronization capability around the programmed frequency. This regulator featuring ultralow quiescent current for high efficiency over a wide VOUT range. A user selectable mode input is provided to allow the user to trade off output ripple for light load efficiency; Burst Mode® operation provides the highest efficiency at light loads, while forced continuous operation provides the lowest output ripple. It includes spread spectrum modulation for low radiated and conductive noise. It is widely used in application such as battery-powered systems, point-of-load supplies, portable instruments, handheld scanners etc.
- Wide VIN range is 3.1V to 17V
- Wide VOUT range is 0.6V to 99% VIN
- Top NMOS on-resistance is 80Mohm typ at (TA = 25°C, VIN1 = VIN2 = 12V)
- Bottom NMOS on-resistance is 40Mohm typ at (TA = 25°C, VIN1 = VIN2 = 12V)
- Input quiescent current is 5.5µA typ at (burst mode, single channel, IOUT = 0A)
- Configurable for a 2-phase single output at upto 7A
- Current mode operation for excellent line and load transient response
- Internal or programmable external loop compensation
- Operating temperature is -40°C to 125°C
- Package style is 24-lead plastic QFN
