Product Overview
DC1625A-D demonstration circuit features the LTC4227-4 dual ideal diode and single Hot Swap™ controller. The DC1625 allows verifying the LTC4227 Hot Swap and ideal diode functionality during individual supply ramp-up and ramp-down transients, during power supply switchover, steady state, and overcurrent fault conditions. The board’s main components include the LTC4227 controller, two power MOSFETs controlled as ideal diodes and one power MOSFET controlled as a Hot Swap device, two jumpers for enabling the second ideal diode (D2ON-SEL) and hot swap controller (HS-ON), two LEDs to indicate power good active low (PWRGD) and fault active low (FAULT) conditions, seven banana jacks for connecting power supplies and load, many turrets and pads for observing circuit signals.
- LTC4227: 2.9V to 18V with a 7.6A maximum current load
- RETRY overcurrent fault
- 1.6ms start-up delay
- Internal regulator voltage range from 4.5 to 5.6V
- 40mV max forward regulation voltage (VINn – VSENSE)
- 1.5A typ DGATEn fast pull-down current at ΔVFWD = -0.2V, ΔVDGATE = 5V
- 52.5mV max circuit breaker trip sense voltage (VSENSE+ - VSENSE–)
- 2.05V max SENSE+ undervoltage lockout (VSENSE+(UVL) ) at SENSE+ Rising
