ADM489ABRZ

ADM489A is a low-power, differential line transceiver suitable for communication on multipoint bus transmission lines. This is intended for balanced data transmission and comply with both RS-485 and RS-422 standards of the electronics industries association (EIA). This product contains a single differential line driver and a single differential line receiver, making them suitable for full-duplex data transfer. This contains an additional receiver and driver enable control. Excessive power dissipation that is caused by bus contention or output shorting is prevented by a thermal shutdown circuit. Applications include low power RS-485 and RS-422 systems, DTE-DCE interface, packet switching, local area networks, data concentration, data multiplexers, and integrated services digital network (ISDN).

• Maximum common-mode output voltage is 3V (R=27ohm or 50 ohm, VCC=5V ± 10%)
• Differential input threshold voltage range from −0.2 to +0.2V (−7V ≤ VCM ≤ +12V)
• Typical propagation delay input to output range from 250 to 2000ns (CL=15pF)
• 250kbps data rate
• 14-lead standard small outline package, narrow body [SOIC-N]
• Temperature rating range from -40°C to +85°C
