48 (1/2X22FT)

The 48 (1/2"X22FT) is a Scotch® Thread Sealant and Lubricant Tape features a white un-fused plastic film made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). The 80018003923 fluorocarbon resin film tape designed to provide a leak-resistance seal when used as a pipe thread sealant. It is chemically inert, conformable and stable through a temperature range of -450°F (-268°C) to 500°F (260°C), the film will fuse at 700°F (374°C). Also approved for use on high-pressure oxygen lines.

• Acetate cloth tape offers excellent conformability in coil-wrapping applications up to 105°C
• Excellent absorption of electrical insulating resins and varnishes

Warnings

The characteristics of PTFE film are such that at temperatures above 400°F (204°C), the film may give off small quantities of toxic fumes.
