MAX3485EPA+

The MAX3485EPA+ is a 3.3V powered, true RS485/RS422 transceiver in 8 pin DIP package. The device has transmission data rate up to 10Mbps. The driver is short circuit current limited and protected against excessive power dissipation by thermal shutdown circuitry that places the driver output into a high impedance state. The receiver input has a fail-safe feature that gives a logic high output if both inputs are open circuit.

• Operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C
• One driver and one receiver
• No charge pump
• Half duplex communication
• Driver/receiver enable function
• Allows up to 32 transceivers on the bus
• Interoperable with +5V logic
• Common mode input voltage range from -7V to +12V
• Low shutdown current of 2nA
