Premier Farnell announces the appointment of Gert Labuschagne to the position of President at Newark, its leading multi-channel electronics distributor in the Americas. He is based in Newark's Chicago headquarters and is responsible for leading all of its operations within the US, Canada and Mexico.
Gert brings extensive experience of the global electronics industry, having spent more than 20 years in senior leadership positions in South Africa and Asia Pacific. "Gert is a global executive with broad industry experience, an in-depth knowledge of distribution and a thorough understanding of the needs of our suppliers and customers," comments Harriet Green, CEO, Premier Farnell. "He will continue to drive Newark's strategy for growth, and we are delighted to have attracted another global leader of his caliber to join our team."
"I am excited to join Newark at this time of great transformation and opportunity, and I look forward to meeting customers and suppliers very soon, starting with next week's Electronic Distribution Show in Las Vegas." said Gert Labuschange.
