Product Overview

The MAX5400EKA+T is a 256-tap SOT-PoT low-drift digital potentiometer in 8 pin SOT-23 package. This volatile digital potentiometer includes a fixed resistor string with a digitally controlled wiper contact. It provides glitchless switching between resistor taps as well as a convenient power-on reset that sets the wiper to the midscale (position-128) at power-up. MAX5400 serves well in applications requiring digitally controlled resistors including adjustable voltage references and programmable gain amplifiers (PGAs).

  • Supply voltage range is 2.7V to 5.5V
  • Operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C
  • Ultra-low supply current of 0.1µA
  • 3-wire SPI compatible interface
  • End to end resistance is 50Kohm at ±25% tolerance and temperature coefficient is 50ppm/°C
  • Ratiometric resistance temperature coefficient is 5ppm/°C
