Product Overview

The SN74HC595D is a 8-bit serial-in parallel-out Shift Register with 3-state outputs. Separate clocks are provided for both the shift and storage register. The shift register has a direct overriding clear (SRCLR) input, serial (SER) input and serial outputs for cascading. When the output-enable (OE) input is high, the outputs are in the high-impedance state. It is suitable for network switches, power infrastructure, LED displays and servers.

  • 13ns Typical tpd
  • ±6mA Output drive at 5V
  • 1µA Maximum low input current
  • ±20mA Input/output clamp current
  • ±35mA Continuous output current
  • ±70mA Continuous current through VCC or GND
