The SCD42 is Sensirion’s newest addition to the SCD4x product line, it is breaking the size barrier in CO2 sensing. Specifically designed for products that fall under the ‘Californian Building Energy Efficiency Standard – Title 24’, the SCD42 offers an unmatched price-to-performance ratio for the US HVAC market. This sensor builds on the photoacoustic sensing principle and Sensirion’s patented PASens® and CMOSens® technology to enable unmatched small sensor size combined with high performance. The integrated best-in class humidity and temperature sensor enables superior on-chip signal compensation and addition RH and T outputs. Finally, the large supply voltage (2.4V – 5.5V), the robustness towards external stresses and the adjustable power consumption make the SCD42 the perfect fit for varying customer needs. Application includes Demand-controlled ventilation, indoor air quality monitoring, CO2 ventilation alarm, IoT / smart home, agriculture / green housing and industrial.
- Size is 10.1 x 10.1 x 6.5mm3, smallest form factor, highest freedom of design
- SMD mounting type, digital I2C interface
